With fifteen years experience in the Cosmetology industry, Rona has had a variety of positions with multiple companies. She has found her natural calling as a Senior Stylist and Bumble Educator since starting with Beau Monde. She enjoys working with our newest stylists and apprentice stylists weekly to help them develop their skill and a critical design eye.

What is your favorite city to visit, and why?
New York City! There is always something going on at all hours of the day.
What is your favorite food, and why?
Anything 5 points or less… haha! Any and all junk foods, anything that can be fried and anything that is required to be dipped.
Who or what inspires you?
People who take negative situations and turn them into positive situations. The person who comes to mind is my Daddy who is fighting the battle of cancer.
What type of music do you like? And why?
I like all types of music but if I had to choose, it would be country. It was what played in the house and in the car when I was growing up.
If you could drive any car in the world, what would you drive?
Flower delivery van because I could be a part in putting a big smile on people’s faces every day.
What is your favorite vacation activity?
Vacation? What is that? Haha! Any vacation time I have, spending time with my son is my favorite activity.
What is it about your service that makes you standout from other providers?
Everybody’s service stands out in different ways. Having fun is a must, but I also try to ensure all of my clients’ needs are met starting from the consultation, during the service, and making sure their next reservations are booked.
What was your inspiration to work in the beauty industry?
Having a real job with benefits was my inspiration 16 years ago… But after I realized what I was getting into, a person depending on me is what keeps me inspired.
What is your favorite thing to do in your industry, and what do you do to stay inspired by it?
I love everything!!! But if I had to choose one, it would be teaching classes. The assistants, apprentices and Stylists inspire me. They are so motivated, upbeat, positive, eager and very courageous! I look up to them.
What is your favorite era of fashion and hair?
I love today’s era! It’s all about ‘anything goes’. I just communicate to my client what would look good with their face shape, what tone they should be and what is easiest for their lifestyle. |
